Hosts: David Crabb, MD, Barbara Lewis of SOUND MEDICINE

Interview: Mercy Obeime, MD

Founder, The Mercy Foundation

Meet a Hoosier doctor who is making a difference half a world away, in her home country of Nigeria.

Dr. Mercy Obeime practices in central Indiana.

But several times a year she travels back to Nigeria, where a foundation she started focuses on providing basic health care, health education, and health supplies to Nigerian communities in need. The Mercy Foundation works closely with AIDS patients.

Dr. Obeime joins Barbara Lewis and Dr. David Crabb to talk about her work. (And you'll want to listen carefully. Dr. Obeime speaks her adopted language of English very quickly!)

She is Medical Director of the Saint Francis Neighborhood Health Center at Garfield Park in Indianapolis.
