One Walk. One Community. One Step Toward Peace.

Join us for the National NMA/POP 5K Walk for Peace on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Washington Park in Indianapolis. This community event brings healthcare professionals, public-safety personnel, community leaders, families, and neighbors together to promote healthier people, safer communities, and brighter tomorrows.

Everyone Is Welcome

All members of the community are invited to participate, including:

  • Physicians
  • Nurses
  • Medical students
  • EMTs and first responders
  • Law-enforcement professionals
  • Community leaders
  • Families and children

Event Schedule

  • 8:00 a.m. — Event begins
  • 8:30 a.m. — Kids for Peace Sprint: a fun, short-distance run for children
  • 9:00 a.m. — 5K Walk for Peace begins
  • 11:00 a.m. — Event concludes

Advance registration is encouraged. Participants may also register at Washington Park’s Shelter #2 on the morning of the event.
